2014 Honoree





Dennis Reed Jr. was educated at Northwest School of the Arts and received his BA in Music Business from Catawba College. When Mr. Reed was 17, he founded Inspire The Fire, a non-profit organization that inspires positive change in youth through faith, fun and the arts.

Dennis Reed Jr. also founded GAP God’s Anointed People which is a group of inspirational singers that bless the world through song. Over the years they have collaborated with the industry’s top talent. Shirley Caesar, Tamela Mann, Donald Lawerence & BeBe Winans, just to name a few. In 2012 this musically talented group were finalists on season 7 of “America’s Got Talent”. Earlier this year Mr. Dennis Reed & GAP were requested by Oprah Winfrey to celebrate through song, the life of Dr. Maya Angelou at her memorial.
