This is the 4th year of the Queen City Awards, and we have really bridged the gap between our local talent and mainstream artists. We believe we have some of the best undiscovered talent. This was one of the main reasons our awards show was created - to let the world know about our artists in the Carolinas in Rock, Hip Hop, Country, R&B, etc... During this year's ceremony, we will be honoring Calvin Richardson for all his musical & community accomplishments. We will also continue the tradition of giving to charity by donating a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society in aiding cancer research.
This year will we be honoring one of the hottest artist to come out of the Carolinas, Calvin Richardson.
Nominations begin Tues. Aug. 24th until Oct. 4th
The nomination and selection process is similar to other national awards show, such as the BET and MTV Video Music Awards, where artists are nominated and voted for by fans. Online voting for the Queen City Awards will be open Tuesday Aug. 24th until Mon. Oct 4th. The nominations are then tallied up by our staff. Once all nominations are in, we will post the top artist in each category to be voted on starting Oct.13th until Nov. 22nd.We encouraged all artist to make sure they have their friends and family go nominate them daily. This awards show is truly for the people and by the people.
